On 24 June 2021, Vietnam National Space Center (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology) and Korea Astronomy and Space Science and Institute – KASI co-hosted a virtual MoU signing ceremony on space science research collaboration.
 

Attending the signing ceremony there were Ms. Do Thi Bich Ngoc - Head of Science and Technology Office of the Embassy of Vietnam in Seoul, Mr. Young Deuk Park - President of KASI, Dr. Pham Anh Tuan - Director General of Vietnam National Space Center (VNSC) and staff of international affairs and astrophysics departments of the two institutions.

VNSC staff commemorate signing of MoU

The MoU between VNSC and KASI is the result of hard working and lots of efforts made by two sides, especially during COVID-19 pandemic. Accordingly, the two organizations agree to cooperate in space science research especially in the field of astrophysics and satellite technology and coordinate to develop joint research projects, organize scientific conferences and seminars. In addition, the two institutes will focus on helping each other in capacity development in areas of mutual interest.

Speaking at the ceremony, leaders of VNSC and KASI committed to support and promote the implementation of the contents set out in the MoU at soonest. Immediately after the corona virus outbreak, both sides will meet and discuss to conduct specific activities to further expand new cooperation opportunities in the future.
