In implementation of tasks under the topic TN18/CO5, from May 8, 2021 to May 15, 2021, the Central Highlands Program sent a delegation of experts to work at 5 Departments of Science and Technology of the Central Highlands provinces to transfer the database on the model of connecting 5 provinces in the Central Highlands with universities and research institutes, in order to improve scientific research capacity, train local human resources and manage natural resources, promote socio-economic development and prevent natural disaster.
 

The Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology was assigned by the Government to chair the National Science and Technology Program "Central Highlands Program 2016-2020", led by Professor and Academician Chau Van Minh, President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. Many research results and technologies of the Program have been transferred to the Central Highlands provinces, including the results of the project "Integrated model of electronic library and Central Highlands electronic atlas for science and technology database administration and communication" (TN18/C05) chaired by Dr. and senior researcher Nguyen Dinh Ky, Vice President and Chief of the Central Highlands Program Office 2016-2020.


Following the goals of the Program and the reality of the Central Highlands, the project TN18/C05 has urgently transferred equipment, software, database and training for the whole system before the conclusion of the Program. The Program Steering Committee sent a delegation of experts led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Truong Xuan, Vice Chairman of the project, Head of delegation, and Secretary Le Thi Kim Thoa to work at 5 Departments of Science and Technology of Central Highlands provinces, with Central Highlands University, Da Lat University under the Ministry of Education and Training, Central Highlands Scientific Research Institute, Central Highlands Institute of Social Sciences under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the Institute of Geography, under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.


Under the direction of the People's Committees of the Central Highlands provinces, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, the above institutions received and conducted training, and coordinated to connect the system and receive the research results of the Program.

On May 10, the project transferred research results to the library of Da Lat University with the witness of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tat Thang, Vice Rector of the University. The authors transferred the content and initial manipulation of the data access method to library staff.

On the morning of May 12, 2021, the delegation of the Central Highlands Program Office 2016-2020 had a meeting with the Department of Science and Technology of Dak Lak province and handed over a number of equipment, software, and databases; gave training and system connection instruction and search at the address: http://atlataynguyen3.vn, under the witness of Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dak Lak province, representatives of the leadership from a number of agencies.

On the same day of May 12, 2021, at the Executive House of Tay Nguyen University, the delegation continued to transfer the database model and electronic library to the university under the witness of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Dung, Vice Rector of Tay Nguyen University.

On May 13, 2021, the leadership of the Central Highlands Institute of Social Sciences under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences received technology transfer from the research project TN18/C05.

On the afternoon of May 14, 2021, in Pleiku City, Department of Science and Technology of Gia Lai province received the research results. After the transfer, Gia Lai province will cooperate in manage operation, use software equipment, database and geographic information system, connect the system and appoint specialized training staff, thus contributing to the socio-economic development of the province and the Central Highlands in the period of industrial revolution 4.0 along with the digital economy.
