  1. Research areas:
  • Research to discover bioactive compounds from marine organisms of Vietnam.
  • Research to discover bioactive compounds with potential use in medicine and food from natural sources.
  • Research to enhance the value of bioactive compounds for development into food, medicines, and specialty drugs for community health care.
  • Research to improve technology for large-scale extraction of bioactive compounds from natural sources as raw materials for pharmaceutical industry in Vietnam.
  • Research and improvement of manufacturing processes for off-patent specialty drugs for pharmaceutical production.
  • Research, development, and application of biological assays in the field of bioactive compounds on in vitro

  1. Main achievements:

Process for preparing the nano emulsion complex of Malloapelta B-Curcumin.

The Malloapelta B-Curcumin nano emulsion complex, as developed in this invention, has been shown to inhibit cancer cell proliferation in vitro and tumor growth in BALB/c mice. This nano emulsion complex is easily dispersed in water, highly safe, non-toxic, and causes minimal side effects during use. As a result, the process for preparing the Malloapelta B-Curcumin nano emulsion complex provides a valuable scientific foundation for applied research focused on developing products to assist in cancer treatment.

The research results have been granted Patent No. 34958 in 2023.

Nano Mallomin Formulation
The product is formulated as 500 mg soft capsules containing:

  • Nano Curcumin 5%: 300 mg (equivalent to 15 mg of Curcumin),
  • Dry extract of Mallotus apelta: 60 mg,
  • Dry extract of Phyllanthus urinaria: 50 mg,
  • Dry extract of Panax pseudoginseng: 50 mg,
    along with some other excipients.

It supports the protection of the gastric and duodenal mucosa and helps alleviate symptoms such as abdominal pain, epigastric burning sensation, and acid reflux.
