1. General Information
Laboratory of Polymer Materials Technology (LPMT) is one of the research departments in the Polymer Research Division. The function of LPMT is organizing and implementing of several research projects in polymer field. Parallel to research work, LPMT take part in education of student, master student and Ph. D. student.
The main research field of LPMT are:
- Research and Development of new Technologies for production of polymer blends based on thermoplastic and elastomer materials, polymer compozits and polymer nanocompozits. This includes the research and application of new agent for improving of the miscibility in polymer bends for enhancing the mechanical properties of the materials anf for the production of new polymer materials. Some rubber blends with special properties have been using in many economical sector like shoe production, marine etc.
- Research and Development of Technologies to recycle of polymer materials and to apply the recycled the materials to produce items with lower price. The purpose of these technology is to protect the environment and to enhance the competitiveness of the products.
- For the excellence research works, LPMT were awarded with two research prizes from the association of scientific and technical society of Vietnam in 2000 and 2003.
