-Discovery and characterization of natural products with biological activity

-Investigation on the synthesis of biologically active molecules.

-Application and development of the modern methods in the synthesis of naturally occurring and heterocyclic compounds with biological activities.

-Investigation on the synthesis of several generic drugs used for the treatment of HIV/AIDS, cancer, diabetic and high blood pressure.

-Investigation on the synthesis and biological activity of naturally occurring pyranonaphthoquinones.

- Investigation on the synthesis of stavudine (d4T) used for treatment of HIV/AIDS.

-Investigation on the synthesis and purification of glibenclamide used for treatment of diabetic.

-Discovery and characterization of natural products with antimicrobial, anticancer activity from Ficus (Moraceae) and Aglaia species (Meliaceae)
